The Easiest and Best Cream Cheese Frosting

Easy cream cheese frosting

This frosting is so sweet and cream cheesy it will quickly become one of your favorites. It’s important to note that the butter and cream cheese should be room temperature, or it will be lumpy.

½ cup room temperature butter

8 oz room temperature cream cheese

3 ½ cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

⅛ teaspoon salt 

In a bowl mix the butter and cream cheese until fully combined and fluffy. Add in the salt and vanilla and mix again. Slowly beat in the powdered sugar. You can add more or less depending on how thick you want your frosting. Yields enough to frost a 9-inch 2-layer cake.
